Wanted to share what one mother in our community has done - this little garden - beautifully landscaped - is behind all the brown eyed susans I've been posting and just beside a little stream. Her son was murdered about 5 years ago - they never found out the who or why and she started this in remembrance of him. There are other smaller slate rocks engraved with the name of others that lost their life too early scattered throughout that lay flat on the ground. Quite a peaceful spot that I often walk through. I taught Josh in 4th grade.
