Our VW Camper was apparently offended, that I have not given him credit that he awakens from hibernation, yesterday here in this project. http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2016-03-26
But when we started our weekend trip, for a few hours everything went smoothly until we where really far away from civilization, somewhere in the French Jura (Franche Comte)... the best place for a breakdown. :-(
Apparently a broken tooth band. Hopefully there is no other damage? Now he must piggyback back to the workshop. Since this problem was not to repair within a few hours, we travelled back home somewhat complicated. With a long ride in this tow truck, then taxi, than by train quite a bit, then taxi again, just in time to see the sunset from our balcony. http://365project.org/mona65/365/2016-03-27
OH NO!! So sad to see your trip was cut short due to the attitude of your rusty(trusty?) VW. But I'm glad to know you made it back home safe. I'll cross my fingers that the damage was minimal and easily repaired.
@maree_sanderson@inthecloud5@tunia@tonydebont@janetb@novab@milaniet@jgpittenger@fntngrma@jamibann@gilbertwood@thistle@nicoleterheide@leggzy Thank you very much for your concern. It is a pity that our long weekend did not work as we would have liked that, especially since my husband was since November almost continuously abroad for business. But, we must also say that it is "only" a technical problem. There was no accident, nobody is hurt,… there are real serious problems on this world and this is a very, very, very minor problem to speak so.
I'll keep you up to date if the camper can be repaired (or if we can afford it) or not.
