Tomorrow very early in the morning we are off and away from Switzerland to Canada’s beautiful East Coast.
We will be off mobile and internet connection, and that's the last picture for a while. But I will diligently take pictures and upload them upon return day after day, so that there is no overflow of your dashboard with a bulk of images. See you and your beautiful pictures again in August.
I wish you all a wonderful summertime (or for the lovely people in the southern hemisphere, a lovely winter time). Take care!
Mona
This very old globe my husband M. inherited from his beloved goduncle. It is interesting that even the travel times of the ship passages are applied. (I'm glad that we can fly and need only one day). And other items also are long outdated, such as the railway in Newfoundland, which transported no more passengers since 1969.
Wishing you safe travels and have a wonderful time on the east coast of Canada! It is beautiful and you will have many photo ops! Can't wait to see them. Love your POV too (great song!)
Wonderful symbol for the start of your vacation. Going to new places and meeting new people, is so exciting. I look forward to seeing your images as well. Safe travels! :)
Hope you have a wonderful time in Canada Mona. I haven't been to the east coast but I believe it's very beautiful, and I look forward to your pictures of it after you get back.
Wow Mona!!! I have been absent from looking and commenting for a few weeks and have just worked my way back to this. Hope you had a great trip - I know it is over now.
And you are a John Denver fan as well? WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!
@terryliv Hi Terry. Yes unfortunately it is over, but the mementoes of our experiences will for ever be in our hearts. And as you know, we live in a nice place.
Yes I like John Denver very much,... and also Bill bryson is one of my favorite. Walk in the woods for me is top 3. And "In a Sunburned Country" is my favorite. But I must confess, the translations to german are crap, and my english is not good enough to get all his fantastic and magical lingo playings.
@mona65 Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. Half the attraction of Bill Bryson is in the way he writes and his witty comments that he throws in along the way. I am sure that many of these would be lost in translation. Have you read his later non-travel books like "At Home"?
