2016-10-29 starburst

The clouds are dark but the Astrantia flower burst with soft colours. An abstract image of an Astrantia flower head. As in my language this lovely flower is called Sterndolde (star umbel), I call this abstract “starburst”. I'm not really happy with the composition and the light on the focus, but I like the colours and the bokeh.

just gorgeous. pin sharp focus and then the glorious bokeh. astrantias are among my top choices for flower shots. never got one quite like this of course but i'll keep trying. and i'm going to call it a star umbel from now on :)
