Great composition and DOF. I love the look of all the pretty umbrellas they sell and I'm always tempted to buy them but, in actual use, I find them a PITA and near always resort to the same solution as you...a waterproof jacket with a hood.
@gardencat Thank you Joanne, so we are the same. Umbrellas are nice and decorative (also in photos), but not very practical. And thanks for the new word. Had to google PITA. :-)
@suesmith Hi Sue, thanks a lot. Well there is a lot, and I mean a lot of post processing involved in this picture, that looked rather flat in the original. I did add blurriness to the tree, as well as an "artificial" zoom burst. And no, I did not lay down for this one,... I was kneeling, and the camera was just an inch or so, over the ground/water.
