Violet sea snails, are called so because they come in shades of purple! These tiny marine gastropods are also known as bubble raft snails - they build a raft of their own spit!
Probably one of my dearest shells in my collection, because of it's unique colour (mine are very pale) and how they spend their lives, suspended at the very top of the ocean's water column dependent on their own ability to make the bubbles that keep them afloat.

Scientific Name: Janthina
They are absolutely gorgeous!
