Damned Allergies

All was going fine yesterday at art class.

One of my fellow artists gave me a piece of bamboo from her garden and I used it, but I have had a dreadful allergic reaction to it!

First my hands bled - yep horrible - and then 3 hours after I got home, I broke out in hives.

Today I was off to the doctors who have never seen a reaction like it. Now, I'm on steroids to calm down the allergy and they've told me to stay away from bamboo in future... from touching it.
