Geese Flypast

Lovely sunset over the Waikato this evening. A skein of geese flew up the river while I was taking my photos.

@kiwinanna Thank Liana. I didn't know it was a skein either but "flock" didn't sound right so I google'd it. Apparently a skein is geese in flight and a gaggle is when they're on the ground - I learn something every day :-)

Instant fav for the softness and sheer beauty of this. The geese add a wonderful extra touch. I love that expression "a skein of geese", but don't seem to see it used much these days--so thanks for that too!
