Hockney-ish by nickspicsnz

Hockney-ish

Played around in PS with this drive-by shot of a family picnic in a park in Hamilton. My first attempt at a Hockney-style collage so only used a few big pieces.
This works really well and a great effect.

I love this format - it's so much more interesting than a single image. :)

@robz Go ahead Rob - I've copied the idea from Hockney ;) I didn't watch or read anything on how to do this properly - just made up my own way of doing it. This is one photo copied 12 times and cropped into each part of a 4x3 grid, saved as jpegs and then copied back into a new blank page as individual layers. I added a drop shadow and stroke to each layer to make them stand out but I don't think that's in Hockney's original method. I guess another way to do it would be to take a series of photos and then montage them together. I look forward to seeing your version :)
