Lake Tarawera across to Mount Tarawera

I drove out to Lake Tarawera to have a look around and take some photos while Sean was mountain biking. Such a beautiful summer's day without a cloud in the sky but it was boiling hot.

@christinav I only had a couple of hours before I had to get back to town so I didn't get to see the cove. I thought it was only accessible by boat though.
@dkbarnett This was a bit of a flying visit but I'd love to go back and stay near the lake so hopefully would have a chance to see more of the birds.

You certainly had a great tour of the Lakes.. We stayed at Tarawera a few months back and a friend took us for a guided tour in his boat around the lake..
