We were up early on our last day in Rotorua so that Sean could get in a bike ride and I could take some photos. It was still (relatively!) cool as we drove to the forest so Rotorua was showing off all its steaminess in full glory. The first two photos show hot pools that were at the back of the campsite we were staying in. No wonder it smelt quite sulphur-y when they were so close to us. The campsite must have used the water from those for it's own hot pools available for guests to relax in. It was mid-30 degrees in the campsite pools.
(Unfortunately not the best quality shots as they're all whizz-bys, apart from the first two, and the light changed quicker than I could change the camera settings!)
