An evening's walk in the park... by northy

An evening's walk in the park...

Took my new lens out for a walk in the park after dark... I'm not sure if this works or not... I've messed with it hugely in nik silver efex... this is about my 8th attempt on editing this scene and i'm done with it! I have no idea what is causing the noise in the sky... i tried to de-emphasize it, but not sure if i was successful or not... I think this looks better large... if you have the time and can ignore the noise...

A slightly more colourful long exposure shot in my other album...

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on yesterday's winter shots... I am sure the novelty of snow will wear off soon (that or it will melt soon - hard to say which will come first)...
I absolutely think that it works...very nice! I love how lit up the snow looks at night!

Another fantastic image---i don't see any noise but definitely am hearing one from my crazy neighbor playing this Nicki Minaj song-- 100x-!!!

@amandalomonaco tx Amanda... But like I said, I messed with it tons in post processing - which is how I got the light like that

Looks great with the light at the end of the path. Who cares how you got it there, it's the end result that counts.

Love the lighting! Is that moonlight? Great shot...didn't notice the noise when looking at the large view...mesmerized by the shot! Fav

@lynnb tx Lynn... sadly, no moon... there's a bit of a clearing there and the snow was reflecting some ambient light... which i totally embellished in post processing...

Should really be viewed up large; let's the mood really come to its right. This is a wonderful and moody picture.

a striking winter scene that somehow feels extra cold -- maybe the light and texture of the snow.

It's a brilliant moody shot, taken with your unerring eye for good composition. Noise I didn't notice, but the halos around the trees speak of over-processing and you have admitted to that!

Those black branches against the grey sky are absolutely phenomenal. This is the kind of artwork I'd love to have hanging in my house one day.
