i was thinking of blowing off the mad minute word challenge today when THIS started happening across the street from our office...
it isn't perfect, but it kind of fit the word which is:
beresque (a/n) Australian slang of berserk, of old norse bersekr, bear sark. Noun: A crazed Norse warrior who fought in frenzy; Adjective: Injuriously, maniacally, or furiously violent or out of control.
They certainly are all going beresque!! Loving all the colour!!
I'm pretty sure this slang originated on a television show here where one of the characters always mispronounced her words. I think it was a "nosey parker" type character but I can't remember the show. Maybe some other Aussies may remember.
