The Master at Work

Jeff put the tiles in by the hearth today. I'm really looking forward to the end of the project. Even this small start has transformed the feel of the living room.
Nothing like a spot of DIY. Especially when someone else is doing it!

Well it's great that he can do those things around the house. My Wife is not that lucky. When it comes to remodeling, no, don't call me. Perhaps demolishing. We must pay someone to do it.

True Ruth- but this is actually my husband's profession, so he's a professional Do it For You, doing it himself at home-PDIFYDIHAH!!!!!!

Rick- I really am blessed with a talented husband. He can pretty much fix anything- some things take longer to figure out how, but for the most part he keeps this place in tip-top shape. He's also quite talented musically. If you like bluegrass or the blues, check him out on Youtube at Bigfatskinee. I think you'll enjoy the music selection.

Thanks, I will check it out sometime.

Great photo and professional or not, having him doing a job at home is fantastic! My hubby is usually too tired once he gets home to do anything! Tiling around the hearth is something I have been waiting for for about 10 years! The floor is looking good!

@olivetreeann Ann, I checked out his site, it was really great. And if I am correct, "Mother I" was one of his that he wrote with someone else? It was great. thanks for the info.

Yes Rick- he co-wrote it with the fellow who was best man at our wedding (many years ago- but it was not for our wedding). Jeff has also been a professional DJ. He noticed many grooms had a tough time finding a song for the mother/son dance. It's based on the words of a groom who was telling Jeff what he wished a mother/son song would say. The fellow who's singing it has just signed with Integrity music. Our son is playing drums on the recording as well. Jeff does the lead guitar work. We're hoping it takes off someday-it's all in God's hands.

Thanks Kerrie. I actually think Jeff is more excited about working at home and doing the project this week than I am. I'm focused on the weekend. We will be traveling to see our children and grandchildren. We're meeting the newest member of our clan (Isaac born Jan. 7 of this year) for the first time. You can definitely expect pictures!
