Last night we had the pleasure of watching our neice Katie perform again. This time she was in a production of Sondheim's "Into the Woods", a musical paradoy of Grimm's Fairy Tales. Katie had the leading role this time as "The Witch". She not only did a superb as the angst-ridden villan/heroine who transforms from an old hag to a beautiful woman, but she made her own costume as well. Through the magic of the theater she transformed a simple children's costume and vine into the face, hands, and cane you see here. Bravo Katie!!
This is one I missed and I'm glad you sent me back this direction. It is a fun costume she made. Have you seen the previews for the Disney version with Meryl Streep as the witch?
@pandorasecho No, I haven't but I have a feeling my niece will be one of the first to see it. As a budding actress she has a deep respect for the great actresses of our day.
