Not feeling at the top of my form today and all the shots I took this afternoon, I didn't like when I uploaded them for processing. So it was back to the drawing board but it's too late to go outside now! So, I looked inside for inspiration and came up with this shot of Jeff's Strat. Believe or not, this was not shot in sepia. It's color. Boy, you'd think a freebie would be easy- not for me! At least not today!
Thank you everyone- just thought I'd let you know, this is sooc- no processing. I took the shot late evening with one light source behind the guitar in a room of white walls- which is what gives the picture that sepia quality. Because of the room being in such low light the ISO had to be bumped up but since I'm shooting with a p & s, it can only be pushed so far, so I couldn't get the "noise" out of the shadowed area. All in all, it came out pretty good for a last minute shot.
@mrssmith It doesn't help to be going through a rough time emotionally either does it? @pandorasecho When I didn't like anything I'd uploaded and processed I started looking around the room. Jeff has been practicing some electric stuff lately and the guitar was sitting out on its stand. The rest, as they say, is history.
@michaelelliott Thanks Michael! I feel like I could do this one much better at some point. I'd really like it to be sharper and without the noise in the shadows. I'll save it for a rainy day.
