@michaelelliott What you Ate Ann's Picture??..Love it Ann this is just perfect for the Day !! Do you have to line them up and match them on the bottom some how? See ..this is what i did not understand also..i thought the lines had to line up if they where horizontal or vertical ..so no wonder i made this so difficult for myself! :)
@pjonas Thank you so much Patty! I'm really pleased with the way it's turning out. @maggiemae Thanks Maggie! You can always count on Dr. Seuss to say something both profound and funny! @karenann Yes, the cooked ones were quite difficult to work with so I decided to go with the uncooked even though the color wasn't as interesting- just kidding. @espyetta They carry a gluten-free product line in our supermarket as well as the gluten-filled kind. Actually I like those noodles a lot- I just can't afford them! @michaelelliott I had pizza! @ellimae Thanks Ellen! It was my understanding that you choose either vertical lines or horizontal- not both. If you chose horizontal that meant that somewhere from side to side all the pictures for the week had to have a continuous line. That seemed like something my camera wouldn't handle well, so I decided to go with vertical and my goal is to make it seem as if they are blending in and out of one another. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
What a wonderful verse! Great texture. I wish I had your gift for giving your pictures such excellent stories, sometimes I battle even to get a relevant title!
Way Cool Ann! I had to be ine hospital, diabetes, severe pain and depression but I am going home today! Hurrah! Can't wait to catch up on all your photos!
@olivetreeann Yes, quinoa noodles are good. They don't "keep" well...I have to spray leftover noodles on top with olive oil and even lay a wet paper towel on the surface of them in the tupperware and make sure I eat them the next day....rice noodles are not as good a replacement spaghetti.....they stick together and are not the same texture...too soft and fragile. GF food IS expensive. I try to keep the processed GF food to a minimum!
thanks for the smile! and this reminds me that my italian friend gave me two big jars of tomato sauce and i should make pasta so i can enjoy them. our verticals are going nice, aren't they?
I was going to say what has steps got to do with noodles unless you took pictures of steps at a very strange angle to make them look like noodles, because I believe you could something like that off!! Excellent shot for your challenge!
@salza Thank you Sally! Most of the time I just let things pop into my head and put it down. But there are days where I really struggle with what to write. Sometimes I think I've set the bar high for myself. I didn't know what to write for this shot. So I took a walk to my bookshelf in search of something to fill in the space. The first thing I saw was this little book of Dr. Seuss quotes I bought a while back. I know a lot of people use Wikiquotes too.
@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @la_photographic Thanks Laura! @myautofocuslife Thanks Livia! @jesperani Thanks Jennifer! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @potsbypam Thanks Pam! I'm sorry to hear that! But you're not alone. I can't tell you how many folks on here have said they are going through a slump in one way or another. I think the climate of the whole country is rather depressed right now between the severe weather and the job market. Hang in there and stay healthy!! Keeping you in my prayers.
@alia_801 Thanks Alia! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! @cfitzgerald Thanks Courtney- yes it is pretty amazing that he was rejected something like 36 times before someone decided to take a chance on him. It certainly helps to keep you going when you think you'll never be published. Glad the words helped. @henrir Thanks Henri! @mrssmith Thanks Carla! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! Yes- I really like the way the radiator shots are going!
@prttblues lol Bev! I don't know- they'd have to be pretty narrow steps to look like noodles!! @ambermagen Thank you Amber! I am a huge fan of Dr. S. too.
@vposey Thanks Vickie! After I decided I was going to do verticals this week I actually sat down and made a list of anything I could think of that could be used for vertical lines! This was one of those things and it came out pretty much like I pictured it would.
@olivetreeann Thank you Ann! I am worried about the diabetes so could you please send out a prayer i can find a good trustworthy capable doctor in my new area to help me manage it?
@melorac Thanks Carole! Glad it brought a smile! @potsbypam Thanks Pam! Absolutely- it's important to have the right doctor with on-going issues like diabetes. I'll be praying and let me know what happens.
