LOL ....beautiful soft lines, Ann. Great textures and lighting. How long does this challenge last? Is it a week? I would definitely run out of ideas .. my camera photo ops change with the winds. One minute I'm shooting a duck and then turn around and there's a candid people capture that I can't resist. You manage to stay very focused all of the time. This pattern that you're creating is perfect.
@karenann Thanks Karenann! Yes, it's just a week and I can be a bit, shall we say compulsive! about being focused. When I thought of this concept I actually went around and scouted out vertical possibilities because I was afraid I'd run out of ideas before the week's end. Interestingly, though I've changed the order a bit, and actually put a shot in there that I hadn't originally thought of (the linguini), for the most part I've used all my ideas from the first search. You wouldn't run out of ideas- a challenge like this really improves your powers of observation. You start seeing things in ways you've never seen them before!

I must confess to you all that the "dream" was a little tongue in cheek- what do you write about verticals?! So I thought I'd be funny- and you all took me seriously. So my apologies for the slight mislead! But I am sort of stuck on verticals now! I could probably do another week of this! Thankfully we're moving on to shapes!!

However, I must say all I'm seeing right now is verticals! So it's a good thing we're moving on to shapes tomorrow!
at least in the vertical folds of the accordion you can make an escape. try getting stuck in between the radiator lines. and good thing i vacuumed it who knows what lurks in them. :-) this vertical easily conveys the feeling of softness. i like it.

Oh, no. . .even in your dreams?!? well, I am so impressed with the way you approached this challenge so planfully - I think it takes a tremendous amount of preparation to work through something like this so well.
@lyno Thanks Lyn- I was being a bit tongue in cheek about the dream as I was running out of witty things to say about vertical lines! But yes, I did map this one out way ahead of time- it actually made the challenge more fluent for me.
