I thought about a couple options for my last same shape shot. The old apothecary jar which was made into a lamp became my final subject. I love how the low light turned it into liquid amber.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie- yes it's a close-up of the neck of the jar. The light and shade are affixed to the jar's lid and sit in the jar. My mother loved this lamp and she used to put red Christmas balls in the jar each year, a tradition I have kept as well. I always get comments on how pretty it looks, and so did she. I will try to remember to photograph it come December.
Was just thinking you should take a picture of that at Christmas timee when I read a bit further on, now that is so pretty and what a great idea for a lamp.
what a finish to your shape challenge. i love the facets of the "diamonds" and the colour is quite engaging! my final shape, which was why i chose the cylinder, turned out to be not cylindrical at all. tee-hee! so i had to rummage through stuff, i was all set into posting a photo of my cosmetics, but in the end i opted for the film canisters.
