Cool! I'm gonna have to try this. I don't know how long my camera stays open but when it's dark, it seem like it takes forever for it to get the picture.
@dmortega Thanks Dorrena! I often say I have a rinky-dink p&s but every now and then I must confess it does a bang-up job on certain shots. In this one it just caught the color so well. It's easier to do this if you have a bulb setting like the old 35mms did. I've had to adjust to my p/s camera's preset limitations, but I can slow the ISO down to 80 so that helps. To compensate, I just start moving the camera as I'm pushing on the shutter. @tara11 Thank you Tara! @cdonohoue Thank you Kathy! @kerristephens thank you Kerri! @maggiemae Thanks Maggie- very quickly! I slow my camera down as much as the presetting will allow me to by setting the ISO at 80 and I start to move the camera as I'm pressing down on the shutter. I never know what I'm going to get though! @prttblues Thanks Bev- and if you see a word here, it's unintentional. I was just making squiggly wavy lines as I took the shot. @salza Thanks Sally! @vposey Thanks Vickie- that's exactly what I thought too! If I wasn't titling these challenge shots in a way I can keep them in order, I would have called it Ribbons of Light.
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie! Although I'd love to have a better camera, I have learned a few tricks in working with this one. I found that if I start moving the camera before I press the shutter I get longer light ribbons. This one came out pretty nice!
