Salt and Pepper Take Two by olivetreeann

Salt and Pepper Take Two

I had some fun manipulating my original salt and pepper shaker shot with a picture of the wire grid on Jeff's speaker cabinet from his DJ equipment. I applied the neon glow effect on top of the merged photos and bumped up the contrast, then flipped the picture. I like how the angle makes it almost look like the salt and pepper jars are sitting on top of a table.
Awesome

What a charming "couple" they make. The King and Queen on the red "carpet!"

@cimes1 Thanks Carole! There are so many things you can do in processing! It's interesting to see what comes up when I experiment. This one started out with the question, "I wonder if I could merge this shot with another?"

I had to go back and read your commentary on your first picture. I was starting to think maybe you stole the shakers! :) It is amazing how processing can really change a photo, isn't it?

Very cool! You made a great abstract of something ordinary! Well done!

@lisjam1 lol Lisa! Are we adding kleptomania to 365 "requirements"?! It is fun turning them into something different. I've gotten more elaborate this week because I'm finding I don't want to repeat anything. But half the time I don't remember exactly what order I did things in! Oh well!
@prttblues Thanks Bev!

@nadaa Thanks Nada! Well, I guess if you're not supposed to have salt, they'd be trouble!
