Believe it or not, these two water bottles remind me of the same place! I thought they made for a nice contrast- ancient and modern water jugs both from the land of Greece. The ancient jug bears the artwork indicative of Corinth, a beautiful port city on the isthmus. Of course the real jugs were much larger, but this miniature version packed more easily in my suitcase. The modern bottle was picked up while touring the city of Athens. You can't see it in this picture, but it's square- which is why I brought it home! Who knew it would be a backdrop for a 365 shot someday. I brought it home because I thought a square water bottle was just plain cool!
Me March: Something that reminds me of a place.
Mull Over March word: water in honor of World Water Day.
@anazad511 Thanks Ana! I had started out by combining the two challenges but then it was hard to put some of the individual parts together- but a few this week, like these two, have worked out giving me some room to do other things in my second album. Glad you like it!
@olivetreeann - I brought back a Pepsi bottle full of water from the Nile in Egypt some 15 years ago and still have it. I brought an empty mineral water recently from Chile, because it was nicely decorated :)
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie- yes it's a little one, but it is made out of the same clay as the big ones! @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! I like this one because of the dolphin. @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! Maybe- these were rather large. They may have carried them on their hips also. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @daisy Thanks Kathryn! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen!
@pandorasecho Thanks for sharing that Dixie! @taffy Thank you Taffy! And thank you so much for the fav!! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @pflaume Thank you Lisa! It really came to me as I thought about the word of the day, not the other way around. I wanted to combine the two challenges so that I could post a weekly theme shot too! Necessity is the mother of invention- or in this case the spark that drives creativity! @eudora Thank you Diane! @bruni Thank you Bruni! No, this little one did suffer a "loss". I dropped it one and a little tiny bit of the spout broke off. But you can't see it in this picture. @annaruth Thank you Anna! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @mrssmith Thank you Carla! @henrir Thank you Henri! @smithak Thank you Smitha!
@jesperani Thank you Jennifer, "he" is cute, isn't he? @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole and thank you Paige!! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! @nadaa Thank you Nada! @cimes1 Thank you Carole and thank you so much for the fav!! @gphelps5 Thanks Graham!
@prttblues Thanks for this comment Bev! I don't know how I missed it before- but I've been discovering a whole bunch of comments that I missed in March.
