When I was at the church yesterday, one of the staff noticed me taking a shot of this lily on my way out the door. "It needs a home; why don't you take it?" she said. So now I have another plant to spray so that it won't become deer candy!

Thank you one and all. I was really struck by the way the light came through the lily petals which drew me to take the shot. So I am glad to see that many of you responded to that.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! Just happened to see the light through the petals as the plant sat on the counter. One of those things you see and your mind goes, "Ooooo! Photo opp!!"
@deniseinindy Thanks Denise! Yes, any lily is considered a sweet treat by the deer around here! I use a product called Deer Out which you spray on the plants. It gives them a minty smell which the deer apparently do not like which in turn keeps them from nibbling on your greenery. So once this baby is planted, I will have another plant to spray- but it will be worth it!
