Photography Book Club 4

Tackling two for one today. On the Mad Minute Word front we have vexillology, the study of flags. On the book club front, I studied my little garden flags for a while and then decided I'd never done a purposely over-exposed shot of them. This was a new way of seeing something I see quite often. I'm not really familiar with the metering of my Nikon, so in order to "trick" the camera I chose the setting for a night shot so that the camera would use the flash. In post-processing I burned just a bit of the color back in. I'm really happy with this shot. It came out as I'd hoped it would.
An excellent one! And it's interesting to read how you did it.

So cool! Did you also do it slow while waving 'cause it seems like more than one image of it.

@archaeofrog Thanks Katie, no actually those are some other seasonal flags that I chose to leave unburned. The flash really washed them out but I was glad that it did.
