I was observing the way the light was coming in one of our living room windows on Monday morning and decided to try a different camera angle to capture it. I'm not really sure how I managed to capture the beam of light and not the light in the window, but I really like how the light just seems to come from nowhere.
and you have the balancing triangles just like patterson's shot of the tree! amazing how that just came to mind. it must mean i'm absorbing something from the book! :-)
Very cool shot, Ann. Very abstract. Great texture and lighting and tone. I like how everything is in dark shadow except that beam of light. It's kind of UFOey. I know that's not a word but now it is because I made it up. Good job! :)
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I have not seen the book yet, so that's pretty cool that I picked up on something I haven't yet seen! @twr Thanks Timothy! @salza Thanks Sally! I'm not sure whether I took this in black and white or color. Our living room is an off-white color and in the early morning light, it can actually have spots that look un-colored. Technically either way, it's a black and white! @stimuloog Thank you Marloes! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @prttblues Thank you Bev! It made me think of the old Gospel song, "I Saw the Light".
