Photography Book Club 5

I was observing the way the light was coming in one of our living room windows on Monday morning and decided to try a different camera angle to capture it. I'm not really sure how I managed to capture the beam of light and not the light in the window, but I really like how the light just seems to come from nowhere.
I thought that a door was opened by an invisible hand from a bright new world into the Dark Age.Like it very much.

Makes a wonderful abstract. I like the conversation to black and white.

Very cool shot, Ann. Very abstract. Great texture and lighting and tone. I like how everything is in dark shadow except that beam of light. It's kind of UFOey. I know that's not a word but now it is because I made it up. Good job! :)

@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I have not seen the book yet, so that's pretty cool that I picked up on something I haven't yet seen!
@twr Thanks Timothy!
@salza Thanks Sally! I'm not sure whether I took this in black and white or color. Our living room is an off-white color and in the early morning light, it can actually have spots that look un-colored. Technically either way, it's a black and white!
@stimuloog Thank you Marloes!
@sangwann Thank you Dione!
@digitalrn Thank you Rick!
@prttblues Thank you Bev! It made me think of the old Gospel song, "I Saw the Light".
