Still working with a single light source but this time in color. I noticed one of the leaves on my sunflower was showing signs of decay, so I cut it off, curled it up and put my flash light at the end of the leaf so that it shone in to the curl. I wanted to pull out a little more contrast when I processed it, but I couldn't find the result I was looking by tweaking the contrast. Instead applying the Orton effect brought out the color and kept the degree of softness that I wanted on the leaf.
Thank you Allison, Timothy, Colleen, Maggie (yes, I did like the result), Taffy, Alia, Rick, Brian, Kerri, Vikki, Lisa, Phil, Dixie (looking forward to it!!) and Kathryn!
@archaeofrog Thanks Katie! I was just looking at your shell shot and thought of this when you said it was hard to get the lighting right. The only lighting here is the flash light coming from behind the leaf at the very end of the leaf curl.
