@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I have to attribute being able to see these things thanks to last month's photography book club. @cdonohoue Thank you Cathy! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @archaeofrog Thank you Katie! @dakotaburns Thank you Donald! The processing effect is called "Oil Painting" so I guess it worked!
Wow, we were amazed at how quickly the colors changed since we were gone. If we are going to make the colors Ann, it looks like it should be during the next couple of weekends. What works best for you? I can see how it works from this end
@twr Thank you Timothy! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! I was that good at painting, but I love these effects that can turn a picture in to one. It was perfect for this shot. @la_photographic Thank you Laura! @mhatch Thank you Mark!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! Yes, I've been keeping track of the Pocono Color watch and at last count we were at 10% and just north of us was at 20%. October 12th would be the best Saturday for me and I think it will also be right around peak colors. The next weekend I'm free is the 26th (if we don't go to Batavia for Leigh's birthday) but I think it will be past peak colors by then. I know you want to go to Bushkill Falls and I have just learned of a really nice overlook and will find out more info on that if you like to have a shot looking across a valley of color. Let me know- I'm looking forward to this!
@kaesebiscuit Thank you Mr. B!!!! You have just made all the strange looks I got while standing on the sidewalk and taking a picture of a shadow and some leaves all worthwhile! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! And thank you so much for the fav!
@fullcircle Thank you Cindy! The yellow leaves really looked so nice against the gray stone of the side walk. Glad you like it. @northy Thanks Northy! I love the artistic effects on BeFunky. I do have to limit myself on them- but every now and then a photo just demands to be turned in to a painting and this was one of them.
Lovely composition and processing...well spotted, captured and, i think, the right type of shot for this effect/filter...must say, i've never had this kind of success with filters...
@ericdibosco Thank you Eric! I do not have the type of camera that accommodates a filter- it's a simple point and shoot, so to get effects I use several on line processing sites (free!). This one is from a site called "BeFunky" which I love for their "artistic" effects that have the ability to make a photograph look like a painting. I believe this one is either called "Impressionist" or "oil painting". The gold leaves which had fallen on the gray sidewalk leant themselves to this effect because it really brought out their gold tones. The only negative side "effect" was that it washed out the sidewalk a bit since it was in direct sunlight. I'm glad you like it!
