31 Days of Rust Day 18

I'm visiting with my son Erick and his family for the next few days. Erick is a mason and his yard is a rust lovers heaven!

My thanks to all who've fav'd and commented on my recent shots. I'm enjoying the time with my grandchildren and looking forward to a 365 meet-up on Saturday! Maybe tomorrow evening I'll find a few moments to check in on you, but until I do, your patience is very much appreciated!
Wow, you captured a great one this time.

Oh, this is just wonderful!! I really like the saturation, and the various ways the curves work to create the design.

Great shot, Ann! You managed to capture the rusted hooks along with the ones painted red. Great job capturing the texture.

hi, i couldn't log on to my e-mail for some reason. i just got home an hour ago, caught the 6:30 bus/train; good thng i aimed for an earlier one, the 7:20 would've got me to toronto around midnight. let me know how you got on at the border. i had to present my passport coming back and i was asked where i came from. i told the immigration person that i went to the middle of the bridge. he asked what for and i said to take photos. he was quite amused and said he hoped they turned out. i must go back there when the weather is a lot more decent.

The rusted chain looks so much heavier than the painted one. a great find and capture, Ann. I'm now up to date with your rust pictures. will comment on the flowers next time around. still have to get some stuff ready for tomorrow.

Thank you Dione, Alice, Suse, Sally, Rick, Kerri, Carole, Taffy, Alta, Daisy, Bev, Bruni, and Vicki!

@summerfield Thanks Vikki! And thanks so much for such a great day!! The rain didn't matter, the company was far more important but I do hope the next time we meet there the weather is better. My only regret with the rain is that if affects my joints so and makes it harder to move around. Add to that my crazy "walk" to get there and I guess you could tell how it altered my stamina! But it was worth every step and I'd do it all over again if I had to. As you may have read my email already, you know there was no problem at the border whatsoever. So now I'm taking care of all the household business so that I can get to learning about the Canon!

It's great identifying all the things in the world that are rusty! I think every time I see chains like this they have rust.

@jmrittle Thanks Marc! Most of the time they do have rust, don't they? It's probably because they get left outside a lot!
