Theo and Kay found a picture from my archives to help illustrate another one of my favorite musicals today- The Sound of Music. And this shot is actually quite appropriate to illustrate the story of the VonTrapp family. They were forced to leave their beloved Austria in order to escape the Nazis but eventually settled in the state of Vermont not too far from where this shot was taken in Montpelier. That's Mount Mansfield in the distance and the Von Trapps have a lodge just below it in Stowe.
I am posting ahead as we are with family this weekend celebrating my niece's wedding.
