Burnside Bridge Antietam by olivetreeann

Burnside Bridge Antietam

This bridge spans Antietam Creek. It was hotly contended for by both the North and South as it served as a supply route but neither army could sustain enough force to decisively win the battle. The bridge remained in Northern hands.
Terrific composition and processing Ann

Thank you very much for the views, comments and favs. Each one is greatly appreciated. It was interesting to see how many of you liked the composition. I am not that crazy about it- wishing I'd taken a few more steps to the right for better positioning of the trees. While it was a sunny day, I've been processing all the Antietam shots in black and white to make them more reminiscent of the era in which the battle was fought. I'm glad to see by your feedback I've accomplished my goal.
