Our photo club met up at Columcille (pronounced Koom-key-lay really!) Monolith Park for a photo walk today. The park is styled after the well known stone structures found in Iona, islands off the coast of Scotland. The founder collected many large stones from around this area and set them up amongst the trees on this property. He also constructed two interfaith chapels which are used for numerous occasions and events. It's very peaceful here. Thor's Gate is a massive portal towards the back of the property and is probably the most well-known feature on the land. I should have posted a shot with a person in it to give you a sense of scale, but trust me- two 6 foot men standing atop one another would not reach the top of the door posts!
Thank you Diane, Henri, Marilyn, Kerri, Kathy and Haskar!
Thank you Wendy and Katy!
