The ICU nurses were so helpful in answering Jeff's questions while I was in my induced coma on the ventilator. One nurse explained that my lungs in their severely damaged condition looked like a lace doily or the trees in early spring when there is still more sky showing through than leaves. I made it out on to the deck the other day to enjoy the sunshine and the view of the trees overhead reminded me of her description. Healthy lungs have no "holes". They are solid.
I'm filling in blank spots- you do not need to comment on this!
I have to comment on this one Ann. You do not need to reply! How terrifying to hear that about your lungs! It must’ve been awful for Jeff. This is such a perfect way to illustrate that nurse’s statement
Lovely view of the sky. While I'm not sure I quite understand their explanation of holes in the lungs, if it helps your husband and you to picture this in your mind, then that's good. Thoughts and prayers for continued healing.
Still so devastating to learn more about what you enduted. That explicit description is very worrisome! This image is beautiful for a tree and I can imagine hideous for the radiologist!
Thank you Katy, Milanie, Kathy, Marilyn, Jolene, Haskar and Harry!
NOT TO WORRY- THEY ARE FULL AND HEALTHY NOW WITH NO HOLES!
