Made in Malta

Judy was selling some foreign coins at her garage sale and the teen who was helping move boxes and other stuff bought some of them. As we looked over his new treasure at lunch I was excited to see some coins from Malta. "I have to take a picture of those for my friend in Malta!" I said. So this one's for you Dione!
some of those may be worth more than face value.

Love the picture and the shape. I think we need some more artistic combinations on our U.S. currency.

@sangwann This one is especially for you Dione!!

@sarasdadandmom I think they are Terry- maybe Dionne will know.
@allie912 Thanks Allison! Aside from being more interesting to look at, another positive to more artistic currency is that it's harder to counterfeit.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!

Love your composition and the pov, Ann. These are beautiful coins ... just fun to look at. Wonderful engravings and colors. Great patina.

I like that you did the wood grain on the diagonal.

@daisy Thanks Kathryn!
@mrssmith Thanks Carla- I hadn't either. They are interesting- especially the two in the front which are octagons.
@karenann thanks Karenann! All the envelopes were sealed so it was quite interesting to open them and discover the contents.
@dmariewms Thanks Marie! It was semi-intentional. I wanted to give the shot that "I just tossed them on the table" look but I wanted the two octagonal shaped ones to be featured, so I gently tumbled the rest and placed those two in front. It just so happened that's the way the pile landed- on the diagonal.
