What a day! I woke up this morning to discover my email account had been hacked. All my contacts and emails were stolen and deleted. I spent most of the day on the phone telling people I was not in London and in need of money. It was aggravating to say the least. I also woke up to the sound of my cell phone telling me the battery was dead. Somehow it had been left on after a friend borrowed it to make a call the other day. So I plugged it in and ran a complete scan on my computer to make sure everything else was secure. The dishes piled up and the wood needed to be stacked, but in spite of all the craziness, the ceiling fan kept spinning and the sun painted a spectacular red sunset at the end of the day. I found some time to snap a few interesting shots for today's 12 for the 12th of 2012 theme (glass in the window, a selfie in the reflective orb, kindling on the back deck, cook books in my kitchen, Hanukkah candles all in a row) and bid you a pleasant evening (or morning depending which side of the world you're on as you read this) with the Christmas lights on my back deck. Boy, am I glad this day is OVER!
@eniaral Thanks Laraine! I really wanted to do a completely different kind. I was going to an hourly shot from 7 to 7. But the whole day was blown to pieces having to be on the phone so much! @mrssmith Thanks Carla! Yes, I'm concerned about it. Especially all the stolen emails. I hope it gets fixed quickly. Apparently if you report it within 24 hours Yahoo can recover some of it, but they make no promises.
Terrible about your email account. It seems some have nothing better to do. I really like your 12 for 12 a great idea and collage for this day. I think the candles is my favorite one. I guess cause it's bright and I like the candles aren't in any order. :-)
Your day sounds a little similar to mine with the exception that we finished it at the hospital. Sorry to hear about your troubles but I do love your collage!
@salza Thank you Sally! It is upsetting. I can't get in touch with anyone! @sangwann Thanks Dione. Me too. I hope they'll be able to restore at least some of my information. @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! Oh no! I hope everyone is alright!
@henrir Thanks Henri! Definitely frustrating! But on the up side it has resulted in a lot of phone calls from friends I haven't spoken to in a while, so I'm catching up on all their comings and goings!
@automaticslim Well the good news today was that Yahoo! was able to restore my email contacts! Huge sigh of relief. Tomorrow I will make a back up file as they suggested.
Oh, that is good news - very pleased to hear it Ann. The bit about backing up gave me a wry smile as I use my email account to keep copies of config files ...
Holy cow, what a day you've had! I can't imagine my email being hacked!! That would freak me out. I'd close every account I had online, bought a new computer and opened new accounts. Great collage of shots even though you had a day of hell. Well done, Ann!
@mrssmith Thanks Carla! Yes, I'm concerned about it. Especially all the stolen emails. I hope it gets fixed quickly. Apparently if you report it within 24 hours Yahoo can recover some of it, but they make no promises.
Thank you Rick, Kerri, Colleen, Tasha and Vickie! Your comments help close out a crazy day on a positive note! I'm so grateful for 365!!
@sangwann Thanks Dione. Me too. I hope they'll be able to restore at least some of my information.
@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! Oh no! I hope everyone is alright!
Thanks Bev! Thanks Andy! More good news today as some of my emails were also restored!
