Yesterday it was whole. This morning it was not!

I don't know what it was- I know it was not the bear (it was eaten during the night- so ???) and I'm fairly certain a deer would not venture up my deck stairs. Squirrels are a strong possibility, but I don't think they are nocturnal. I left the light on the deck on last night in hopes that "it" would return and I'd be able to see the critter in action. But I didn't have any luck.

Thanks Terry and Bev! It remains a mystery. I've been checking at night, but either "it" hasn't returned or I'm missing the time it visits. The hole is not getting any bigger though, so I'm thinking it was a one time visit.
