I got an interesting combination for the album cover challenge this time! It had me pulling out some photos from my archives to accomplish what I had in mind. This is certainly not typical for me!! But I did have fun processing it.
The Doom Bar is a sand bar at the mouth of the estuary of the River Camel on the north coast of Cornwall, England. It was formed during the reign of Henry VIII. Folklore says a mermaid created it but in reality it is made up of marine sand which is derived mostly from shells. Many ships have run aground here attempting to get to Padstow Harbor.
The album title comes from a quote by Friedrich Hayek: The growth of the human mind is part of the growth of civilization at any given moment that determines the scope and possibilities of human ends and values. The mind can never foresee its own advance.
Its edgy and very well put together Ann, great colours and balance. The album challenges always seem to produce some edgy images I think. I've done mine too, posting later today.
@luvmynynix Thank you Laurie and thanks so much for the fav! I did this entirely in iPiccy- it's on line and free. It find it the easiest site to merge pictures on and they have so many fonts it's insane. But as you can see they are very artsy and come in handy for a challenge like this.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! There were a few ways I could have gone with the title, but the band name sort of dictated the "darker" side, don't you think?
