Bethlehem Bricks a la Mark Rothko by olivetreeann

Bethlehem Bricks a la Mark Rothko

I know I am posting this late so it won't qualify but when I originally saw it I thought it was an excellent replica of his style, but with a Bethlehem steel twist! I played around with the colors in post-processing to imitate the color block abstracts that Rothko was known for. This is what the artist had to say about his work: "I think of my pictures as dramas; the shapes in the picture are the performers."

It seems that my front door has become a revolving door lately- both for me to be on my way out and for friends to be on their way in, hence the late entry for this challenge. I am also once again WAY behind on commenting on most of your photos. My apologies for that and I will do my best to catch up asap!
I really like this, quite striking!

@digitalrn Thanks Rick! I took several good shots of this area- same spot as the flag flying biker and the red door of the other day. In fact you can see them in that shot to the left of the door.

Love the blocks of vibrant colour broken by the steel bits. A great take on the challenge.
