John Deere Logo

Not all John Deeres are green.

Many of the roads in our community are dirt roads. Each spring the road crew grates them so that they stay flat and give residents easy access to their homes. I captured this shot of the grater on my walk today. It appears the old work horse had the day off as it was sitting idle on the side of the road.

Nice shot, Ann. I have never seen a John Deere that wasn't green. I never paid attention to the manufacturer of road graters. I do hate getting stuck behind them because they are so slow and they never pay attention that someone is behind them and you don't dare pass when the road is one and a half cars wide.

I have a fascination for all types of earth movers and farm machines. Like Bev I always associate John Deere with green

Wonderful patterns and shapes. I particularly like the texture underneath the John Deere sign, looks old.

Thank you Bev, Kerri, Sally, Rick, Allison, and Carole! Yes, it's a machine that makes you take a second look because it's not the usual color you associate with John Deere- but it is close to the same yellow that accents all they're green machines.
