I had taken this shot thinking I'd convert it to black and white for the Flash of Red Challenge, but, I liked the color of the wood so much I decided to leave it as it is.
Fascinating shot! I love the texture of the wood contrasted with the snow. But there's also an interesting interplay of the circles, almost like gears intersecting. Fav.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! I did play around with it and converted it to black and white to see what it would look like, but it didn't have as much umph that way. The interesting thing with it in this format is that even though it's color, it has a sepia tone feel to it because of the snow and the wood.
