We were on the viewing platform at the zoo when this lion came right up to the glass and sat down. Deb was thrilled to be so close with only a pane of glass between them.

What an experience that would have been…..so near & to gaze deeply in those eyes…..I think it would really be a very moving experience! Hope the lion is happy there else it would upset you! I’m thinking they have a similar look, not to be rude to Deb but a similar colouring!

The lookout was quite large and there were lots of people there. One of the chaps who works at the zoo said the old safari truck the lion was sitting on has been there for a long time and in the three years he had worked there this is the first time he has seen a lion sitting on it so close to the people.

I think the lion must have been figuring out how she could eat some of the onlookers. It was almost lunchtime.

Deb was thrilled to be so close and I had great difficulty trying to get a photo of her without anyone else in the picture. I think I did quite well to get this shot of them both meeting eye to eye.
