We went to the country park for our walk but there were so many people there was traffic jam getting into the park. A quick about turn and we stopped off at the Embankment for a walk alongside the River Nene.
Wonderful to see so many swans - this is just a small number of them. As the river flows through the centre of Wellingborough there is a Whitworths flour mill on the other side of the river. I think that the factory must somehow warm the water as there are always a huge number of swans here - whatever the weather.
Lots of people out with their children feeding the swans. A lovely chilly walk.
@louannwarren I think George would try to jump in after the swans if he wasn’t on the lead. It is a deep fast flowing river so I’m not giving him the chance!
