Text this morning from my nephew Colin. He has tested positive for covid - on the day his wife can come out of isolation! Christmas and New Years day had been cancelled and now it looks like our plans for a delayed Xmas/new year dinner next weekend now also have to be cancelled!
I’m fed up and decided it was time to take the decorations down!
I have been known to keep the decorations up until our next long weekend, usually Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And buy Christmas gifts on the after Christmas sales. Test was back when we used our December money to travel 3,000 miles visiting grandparents and buying them gifts, so we saved the immediate family Christmas until January.
