Every day the family of goldfinches visit the feeder. Adults and youngsters. This adult was standing guard as the others were feeding.

This one really looks alert. I didn't know goldfinches were so colorful. Have you read the book, The Goldfinch? I didn't realize what the painting must have looked like.
