A lovely trip to Woburn Deer Park and a ride on the trailer behind the tractor getting close to the deer. The rut is just about starting - very slowly - it's been too warm. It was pouring with rain at first but finally brightened a little. Great to do this with Rosie and Sarah - we had a great laugh of course!!
@taffy If you want to see the deer in the rutting season October is the month. Next year we will go on the tour a week later as it has been so warm this year the rut is only just beginning.
@taffy If you want to see the deer rutting then October is the month. This year Autumn is late - again - and we haven't had the cold nights which are really needed to get the rut going. A few cold nights and those stags will be at it with a vengeance!! LOL!! What do you want to do or see when you come to England ? That will determine which season is best!!
