The sun was shining this morning so Finlay and I went for a walk to the country park. I had my fisheye lens with me and took some shots all round the lake. This was my favourite and although it looked good in colour I decided to use it for Flash of Red February.
Best on black of course if you have time.
I have taken this view before - sometimes I feel I am repeating myself but there is not much urban interest in my area apart from Churches. I need to go in search of some new views!!
Many thanks for your wonderful response to my fun photos this week - so very much appreciated!!
I think this is an excellent example of the proper use of a fish eye. The rails are the bridge are straight and the building is not distorted. I really like this effect.
Your fisheye results are absolutely gorgeous! I'd love to invest in one just for the pleasure of some like this! The image is terrific...do you find that most images look as "interesting/beautiful" with the addition of the fisheye, or do you have to look carefully for specific subject matter? I suppose you begin to hone in on what works best.
@Weezilou many thanks,Louise I do love this fisheye effect. It doesn't work all the time though especially using it in landscapes. I am getting to know the kind of shot which works now. Fabulous for architectural shots which is why I had such success with it in Chicago. Rather limited use I find where I live!
@pamknowler Very interest commentary in that case! If I have a notion to do so, I should get out the crystal ball again...it seems to replicate the sort of shot one might get, and it will give me a chance to "test it" in certain situations...
