So there we were in Newfoundland driving along and there were signs everywhere warning you about moose crossing the roads. More deaths are caused by cars hitting moose than anything else. I had my camera poised just waiting for my first sighting of a moose. When you drive through small towns there are houses with huge moose antlers hanging up outside. I was excited as I have never seen a moose. You guessed it we never saw a moose during the whole of our visit. We met people who did see them standing on the side of the road but they are obviously very elusive!! We even drove out at dusk when its very likely to see them - no sign!! So disappointed!! I am not convinced there are moose out there!! LOL!!
Still digging into my files for colour - not much about at this time of year!!
Best on black
Many thanks for your lovely comments and favs on yesterday's tigers image which I was thrilled to see on the PP today.
I did that when I visited North America a couple of years ago, only it was chipmunks I was desperate to see! Everywhere I went people said they were plentiful usually.......but I never saw one! I think they hide on purpose when they know foreigners are hunting them out. Chipmunks and moose clearly in league! (Is the plural of moose mooses, moose or meece?!) I like your sign, fabulous for yellow,
It is so true Pam, some years we are there we see none and other years they walk right in front of you on the highway, which is not good. I think the most moose sightings in a trip for us was 4. I guess you will just have to go back again!
