Yes there really is a humpback whale swimming along with another couple - I think they were babies. You can just see the fin on the surface and of course the water spout!! This was so exciting and if you listen carefully you can hear me shouting breach will you!! I think that's the correct term for them leaping out of the water!! Oh how I wanted to see that happen!! No luck though. I followed the whales all round the bay and caught so many water spouts but sadly the fin was the only part of the whale I saw.
I can't remember the name of this place but I think it's the most easterly point of Canada. Louise and Ken had climbed up to the top of the hill to see the lighthouse while I decided to get some shots of gannets flying off the cliffs. A girl suddenly grabbed my arm shouting whales!! I was thrilled to see this but very disappointed they didn't breach. I will have to go back!!

Many thanks for your lovely comments on my garden view image. So looking forward to getting down there again!!
@weezilou Louise remember this wonderful place? I can't think of the name. I was so impressed that you climbed up all those stairs to the top!! I took the easy option and walked down to the cliff edge. LOL!!
Aren't they fabulous to see in person. We get whales migrating up and down our coast twice a year as they swim to warmer waters to give birth and then back to Antarctica with their young. I never tire of watching whales.
How bad is this...I cannot recall at all the name of this location! I might have it written with some of my photos (I hope!!) Pretty sure we were in Newfoundland ; )
