This is the view from my hotel window in Chicago. I have so many images not processed from last years visit. I just could not resist taking shots out of my window!! Fabulous architecture!!
Best on black.
Very busy today getting ready for my few days away in Derbyshire having some private tuition with my photography friend Simon Watkinson. As my knee is still not 100% I think we will be doing mainly studio work. Of course it all depends on the weather too as Simon lives up on the moors outside Buxton and if the light is good it will be very tempting to go out!!
The WiFi signal from the cottage I am staying in is notoriously intermittent so I may be out of touch until next Thursday.
Many thanks for your great comments on my black cat - very much appreciated!!
@pamknowler -- in all seriousness, having processing fun time together is very therapeutic. Especially when it involves yummy food. I miss @Taffy and Jim living with us because Taffy and I would sit for hours at the dining room table-turned-into-photo-processing-table and chat while processing. But Jim gave me on long-term-loan his spectacular monitor so I am happily seeing my images large now!
@jyokota Nothing better than having fun processing with someone who knows what they are doing!! You are lucky to have Taffy to chat to!! I enjoyed doing the same thing with Louise @weezilou when I have visited her and Ken in Lunenburg. I think you can learn a lot sharing information about processing.
@jyokota@pamknowler Is Lunenburg remote enough? I miss the trio with Taffy!
Pam, that's REALLY a stunning image! Beautiful photo to begin with and marvelous processing!
Instant fav! I love this so much and I am not a city person at all. But - you have made it incredible with all of the detail and contrasts. I love the B&W. Just fabulous!
It's easy to see where Junko, Taffy and UKAndie get their inspiration from! Such a striking cityscape and not really like anything here in the UK. Nice shot. Processing with other people - now that would be fun. Oh how much you could learn!
@casablanca ...haha...the possibilities are right there in front of us to share...if we'd stop "yammering awhile" and do some serious "studying! The visiting friendships are just too much fun!
