Purple hedge by pamknowler

Purple hedge

On our walk at the country park we noticed that the wild flowers in the hedges had all grown really tall and there were many in flower. Along one path this purple hedge was about 5' tall - an amazing display of beautiful flowers.

These flowers looked to me like old fashioned geraniums which my mum used to have in the garden as ground cover. Julia has ID these as Cranesbill geraniums.
They are a cranesbill geranium.. they are a creeper..

@julzmaioro Thanks for the ID Julia - much appreciated. I am sure this is what my mum grew in her garden.

I grow these - Johnson's Blue Geranium aka Cranesbill. Fantastic ground cover and always prolific flowerers.
