4th October 2015 - Woburn Abbey

We were driven round the deer park on a large trailer pulled by a tractor. As we passed the Abbey we stopped for some shots. It was still very misty and in colour the mist really shows up. The B&W conversion has given the shot better clarity.

Uploaded for my alternate album
Great seeing this wonderful place. It looks grand in B&W Wonder why its called an abbey?

Is that a statue of a horse at the forefront? Or did one wander by? This is such a great architectural shot -- beautiful reflections of the building in the water, and a grand wide angle look to the Abbey.

hey -- thanks for the follow! Isn't it weird how we get kicked off once in a while.

@taffy thanks Taffy I was pleased with this as it's taken with my 100-400 mm lens which I wouldn't normally use for architectural shots. It is a statue of a horse in front of the Abbey. That would have been lucky - a horse wandering by just as that swan swam past! Lol!

Neat capture. It is hard to imagine this as a one family residence. Looked up the history. Pretty fascinating.
